Celler del Roure Vermell Valencia 2018

Vermell is a blend featuring 70% Garnacha Tintorera – a 19th-century, French crossing of Garnacha and Aramon Noir that was widely planted after phylloxera and 30% younger vine Mandó; destemmed and aged in amphorae. Representing Valencia with delicate floral qualities, dusty red fruits, medium weight on the palate and fine tannins which are perfectly in balance with the round delicate qualities of the wine.  The best amphora example we have come across, especially under $20.
