"Beau Terroir Vineyard" on the southwestern corner of Napa. Michael Havens, owner/winemaker. First release of Cave Dog, however Mr. Havens made his eponymous "Bourriquot" in the 1990s and 2000s. Unfitting its name, this wine has elegance. Nose/flavor of ripe red and blue summer berries, lightly toasted oak, French roast coffee, rosemary, violet. Tightly coiled now...not tannic but shy. Drink 2019-28. 284 cases made.
