Casa Castillo "Las Gravas" Jumilla 2015

70% Monastrell, 15% Garnacha, 15% Syrah. High elevation plantings in Jumilla for extra concentration and depth, then aged in foudres to soften the tannins. The result is an intense, perfumed nose, full of blackberry, bramble, tarragon, black pepper, and smoke, with a tight, grainy grip on the palate that fills out the fruity mouthfeel and is balanced by fresh acidity. A dark, concentrated wine with a long, integrated finish.
