Camus-Bruchon & Fils "Les Pimentiers" Savigny-les-Beaune 2015

Lucien Camus is one of the rising stars of Côte de Beaune, perferring to do most of his work in the vineyard rather than the cellar. He has the good fortune to have access to old vines, in this case from 1929, which lends the wine extra concentration and depth. The wine is aged for 12 months in 30% new oak, giving it a dry, grainy, lightly tannic texture to firm up the attractive ripe raspberry and red cherry aromas. A fresh, full, very engaging wine.
