Calder Wine Company Petite Sirah Napa Valley 2016

Organic, dry-farmed grapes grown in Rutherford. Fermentation is 75% whole cluster to smooth out Petite Sirah’s robust tannins, before spending two years in old oak puncheons. This is classic, old-school Petite Sirah: black, inky, chewy, and tannic, a big but smooth wine that’s full of jammy, black fruit as well as coffee, chocolate, violets, licorice, cloves, and nutmeg, all lifted by refreshingly high acidity.
