Cain Vineyard & Winery "Cain Five" Napa Valley 2006

CAIN FIVE Bordeaux Blend Drinking older Napa Cabernet is rare, but always a pleasure. Winemaker Chris Howell is old-school and blends his wines to be long-lived. This 2006 is entering its prime: an enticing ripe, earthy nose with complex cassis, plum, pepper, licorice, thyme, and rosemary aromas, followed by a long palate with chalky tannins. Mature aromas of tobacco, coffee, and dried fruits are beginning to come through – this will continue to age for another ten years.
