Vespolina is a grape native to the Piedmont region with a genetic connection to Nebbiolo. The grapes for this wine come from Gattinara and are completely de-stemmed to soften the naturally occurring tannins. On the nose you will find white pepper and baking spices, followed by cranberry and red cherry. The palate is light yet powerful with a slightly rustic characteristic that is softened by floral notes, pomegranate, and touches of rhubarb to finish it off.
