Buisson-Battault VV Meursault 2018

True to the label of Vieilles Vignes, the vines were planted in 1930 and 1935 in the Lieu-dit’s Les Malpoiriers and Les Pellans.  Full bodied and full of minerals.  12 months of lees-aging and 20% new oak give the wine some weight and a brioche quality that saddles up perfectly with the crushed oyster shell and flinty aromas.  Faint citrus is overpowered by green fruits of apples and pears.  Textbook, full-bodied, Meursault.
