A roughly equal blend of Syrah and one-hundred-year-old co-planted and co-fermented Grenache and Mourvèdre, this is a serious representation of Châteauneuf, which is ageing slowly and gracefully. The fruit (raspberry, cherry, blackberry) is ripe, pure, and enticing with fresh floral aromas, followed by a tight, tannic grip. Lots of life left in this one.
