Broc Nero d'Avola Mendocino 2017

It’s unusual to find the Sicilian grape Nero d’Avola here in California – from Fox Hill Vineyard in Mendocino near Ukiah, this is the only example we’ve ever seen! The wine undergoes 10% carbonic maceration and is aged in clay vessels. The red fruit aromas are really pure, with juicy, crunchy plums, raspberries, and strawberries, followed by a soft, fresh palate that makes this wine almost too easy to drink. Calls out for pizza.
