Broc Cellars Carignan Alexandra Valley, Sonoma 2016

Field blend from a 130+ year old vineyard planted mostly to Carignane (about 85%), with Alicante, Zinfandel & Palomino interspersed. Whole cluster/carbonic ferment, aged 6 months in concrete. Bright red fruits and dried herbs dominate: red cherry, cranberry, thyme and lavender on the nose and palate. Medium-light body and great acid make this a great accompaniment for all manner of vittles. 405 cases produced.
