Bravante Vineyards “Trio” Estate Red Blend Napa 2017

A four-grape blend (not 3) of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec. The wine shows its Howell Mountain pedigree through and through with dark fruits, leather and herbs. Bay leaf, eucalyptus, mulberry and figs drive home the fact that this is not valley floor. Twenty-two months of aging in oak shows on the palate with 60% of the barrels being new. A wonderful wine from this small production winery.
