Bodegas Frontonio Microcosmico "Frontonio" Macabeo 2022

Not many people look to Macabeo, or Viura as it's called in some areas of Spain for anything more than quaffable inexpensive whites.  This wine totally changed my mind. The 100% old-vine Macabeo on clay-limestone is aged in both tank and barrels providing a straw yellow color, caramel covered green apple, salty minerality, rich floral qulities that play a secondary role and amazing depth… Depth that is not typically found in Macabeo.
