Blackbird Winery "Arise" Red Blend Napa Valley 2019

The 2019 blend shifted a bit to 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 8% Syrah and 5% Petit Verdot, with an earthy Bordeaux style, marking winemaker Aaron Pott’s terrior driven style. The darker side of Napa fruit shines with plums, blackberry, and mulberry.  Roasted coffee, nutmeg and black cherry on a layer of pencil shavings and pine forest prove this wine wants to reveal a touch of more earth than the typical Napa red blend.
