Bisci Verdicchio di Matelica "Fogliano" 2015

Bisci are an old family considered one of the DOC’s best producers and we can’t disagree as this is as good a Verdicchio di Matelica as we’ve tasted. From a 350m-high vineyard with clay, calcareous soils, the wine has a very attractive nose of jasmine, white roses, peach and nectarine. 18 months on its lees gives the wine body, weight, and a long, textured, creamy, nutty finish alongside high, vibrant acidity. Complex and refreshing.
