Biale "Black Chicken" Zindandel Napa 2017

The grapes for this wine come from the Oak Knoll district in the south of Napa where the Biale family has farmed this vineyard their whole lives. Aromas of cherries, raspberries, violets and a little bit of dark chocolate. The palate has many of the same flavors with low acidity and round tannins. A great balance of fruit and structure. During prohibition Aldo Biale would affectionately call his jugs of wine “Black Chickens” and they could be delivered with his fruits and vegetables.
