Beurer "Schlifsandstein" Wurttemberg Riesling 2014

Württemberg is little known outside Germany for its wine. With an extreme continental climate, winemaking is difficult but this Riesling proves it’s worth it. The “Schlifsandstein” soils are fossilised weed beds which are organically farmed. From 2014, the wine is gold in color, with a smoky, petrol nose of lime, berry, and white pepper aromas, going into a palate with a gripping mineral texture, a dry, acidic, intense, complex structure and a very long, concentrated finish.
