Benito Favaro Erbaluce di Caluso 2016

Erbaluce’s the grape, Caluso the small hilltop village in northern Piemonte. Father and son Benito and Camillo specialise in the rare, indigenous grape, tending just 3ha of vines. Riesling-like in its aromas, with lime zest, white flowers, and a stony quality on the palate that has high, refreshing acidity with some extra weight and spice coming from four months lees ageing. A winning combination of freshness and serious complexity.
