Cool climate vineyard that typically produces a Northern Rhone style of Syrah. Not the case here as this vintage it boasts a nicely rich California style with Rhone "notes." 40% whole cluster ferment. 1 new Hungarian barrel, rest neutral French oak. Get sweet blueberry, cocoa, black pepper, woodsmoke, cola. Richness, medium acid, gentle tannins. Decant 30 minutes and enjoy. 193 cases made.
