Benevolent Neglect Counoise California 2019

Another fun wine from a forgotten grape, made by the talented folks at Benevolent Neglect with a very pretty purple-red colour, slightly lighter on the rim; you don’t see this from California often. The nose sings of ripe strawberry, blueberry, cola, and spice notes of anise and cassis bringing great complexity. Fruit and spice continues on the palate with black pepper and red plum, a lovely bright acidity and soft tannins.
