Bachelet Monnot Bourgogne Rouge 2021
An equal part blend of three villages: Maranges, “L ‘Ormeau Puligny and a parcel of Hautes Cotes de Beaune. Broad shouldered, but by no means brooding, the flavors are earthy with both red fruits and dark fruits, giving the wine a youthful energy and a matured depth. Notes of oak aging are full of baking spice, providing a creamy texture while blending moderate tannins into the whole. A lot of wine for a still manageably priced Burgundy.
