Grown on a south-facing vineyard – which gets the grapes fully ripe – just outside Dogliani and Barolo from 45-year-old vines at 600m elevation – which keeps the acidity really fresh (often a problem with Dolcetto). Aromas of pure red and black fruits plus pepper and licorice lead into a palate that’s got a firm tannic grip and a lightly chewy mouthfeel. A quietly serious example of Dolcetto.
