Aurelio Settimo Dolcetto d'Alba 2016

Dolcetto is a tricky grape to work with. Even though it ripens early, it can be lacking in acidity while having high tannins. So it’s always good to find a fine example. A short fermentation controls the tannins, with a vibrant nose of fresh red fruits – raspberry, strawberry, cherry, plum – chocolate, violets, and coffee beans. Youthful, soft, and fresh on the palate, a very approachable wine to be drunk and enjoyed now.
