Au Sommet Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak, Napa Valley 2014

From wayyyyy up on Atlas Peak (2100 feet). Heidi Barrett, co-owner and winemaker. This is big, bold, chewy and needing to be "forgotten" in the wine cellar. Black currants, cocoa, espresso, black olive, tobacco, leather, incense, licorice, mint, boysenberry and on and on. Firm tannins slowly loosen with air and show more of the wine's purity and power. This is a great birth year wine as it'll be at its best 2030+.
