This unassuming Nebbiolo from the region of Valtellina falls into the Alpine red category, showing a delicate yet vibrant creaminess rather than its more powerful cousins in Piedmont. This wine will stand tall against the finest Nebbiolo with taut strawberries, soft fruit of candied figs, cherries, red currants and earthy leather. More earth notes of mushrooms, tobacco, blood orange and Alpine herbs unravel. A great price for aged Nebbiolo in its prime.
