Collaboration between Raúl Pérez of Bierzo and Antoine Graillot of the northern Rhône, drawn to the steep, rocky slopes and the quality of the wines of Bierzo. Graillot has brought some Rhône techniques, such as ageing the wine in a concrete vat, while Pérez encouraged extra skin contact after whole-cluster fermentation was complete. A wonderfully vibrant nose of red fruits, violets, tarragon, black pepper, and licorice leads on to a fresh palate with chewy tannins.
