Ameztoi “Stimatum” Red Txakolina Getariako 2021

Stimatum, meaning esteemed, is Ameztoi’s limited red Txakoli. It is produced exclusively from the local, indigenous Hondarrabi Beltza variety, grown on traditional trellises high on the slopes rising above Getaria, an ancient Basque fishing village on Spain’s rugged northern coast. The wine has traditionally showed residual CO2, but not in this vintage. A light and polished wine with strawberries, red cherries, and ripe raspberries and redcurrant. The most intertwined acidity the wine has ever had.
