Alvear Pedro Ximenez 1927 Sherry 375 ml

Legend has it that the solera still has some of the 1927 in it that started it all. High elevation grapes are grown in the famous chalky Albariza soils with extremely low yields.  Not as syrupy and rich as most Pedro Ximenez, but you can't change a Zebra's stirpes. Figs, toffee, caramel/peanut brittle, and maple syrup. Texturally dense with sweet banana bread, walnuts, molasses and a streak of acidity that begs for another glass.
