Alpha Estate Xinomavro “The Hedgehog” Amyndeon Greece 2020

Xinomavro is one of Greece’s national grapes, primarily grown in the region of Naousa with these grapes sourced from the Amyndeon plateau, enjoying a continental climate. The light, clear ruby color is a bit misleading, as the wine shows earthy, sandy soil aromas with sautéed oyster mushrooms. Light fruits of cranberry, raspberry, blueberry and pomegranate build a transition to a firm base of tannins and acidity.
