Alberto Voerzio is an up-and-coming producer who owns less than 2ha of land – just over half in the historic La Serra cru. His approach is all based on the vineyard, while being very much hands-off in the winery. The result is a serious, sophisticated, and ageworthy expression of Barolo: balanced and restrained but full of red fruits, flowers, tar, leather, and tobacco with chewy tannins and vibrant acidity.
