John Alban was the first to plant Roussanne in the new world, and the first to release a wine labeled Rousanne, perhaps anywhere. He's still the master: Intense flavors of meyer lemon, mandarin rind, chamomile, fresh herbs and a pleasant whiff of bitterroot on the back end. Incredible depth and verve, with a finish that goes on and on.
