Brother and sister team, owning just 5ha of terraced vineyards in the Dhron valley south of Piesport – this is from a particularly steep amphitheater in the high-quality Hofberg vineyard. Forget the Feinherb labeling, this is Riesling at its most intense, concentrated, and balanced. Lots of fruits – lime, peach, apricot – on the nose with a light, spicy nuttiness, followed by a rich, sweet palate balanced by vibrant acidity. The acidity and sweetness together will cut through the fattiest of foods.
