Back Room Wines presents a comparative tasting of Old World and New World wines this Friday evening.
On Friday September 29 we are going to present a double competition: the same grape varieties grown in Europe(the Old World) and elsewhere (the New World). You get to decide which is better - and by that we mean flavor, typicity and value -but there is a wrinkle: they will be served blind! So not only do you get to identify the grape variety but the bottle’s country of origin. This is a great opportunity to put your palate and your memory to the test. We are going to give you a tantalizing hint to whet your appetite: these will be well-known varieties, but there won’t be a drop of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir or Cabernet present. You’ll get three different grapes from six different areas in four different countries for only $15. Come on down for some tasty fun anytime between 5 and 8 p.m.!
